Last weekend saw the division 1 and division 2 tables take shape. In division 1 the league title is in the hands of 4 teams. With Birmingham, Saltire and Terriers all sitting on 10 points, it looks like the title will go to the last game of the season. Whilst you would fancy any of those 3 teams, Romans may still have something to say having played a game less than the leading pack and still yet to play leaders Yorkshire on the last game.

Whilst at the foot of the table VMC look destined to be playing in division 2 next year, Hotscots can still mathematically stay up, but they will need to win by 4 clear goals and then hope Romans slip up against Yorkshire on the final day.

Division 2 is also shaping up nicely with Lions and Mersey leading at the top of the table. It means Wildecats only need a point against bottom club Cardiff to secure the championship. Failure to register a point on their travels will result in Lions being crowned champions and Mersey runners up.

It’s all to play for
