Quarter Finals Itinery

Posted on

The GFSN have secured 2 all weather pitches in Bristol. We have also sourced 2 referees for each quarter final game.

Managers should have received their rainbow laces through the post. Please encourage players to wear these for the fixtures as the GFSN supports the premier league’s partnership with Stonewall as we embrace the Rainbow Laces initiative to help kick out homophobia in football for once and for all!

Each match will be played over 90 minutes. Rolling subs are permitted. If the scores are level after 90 minutes we go to a penalty shootout. 5 penalties and then sudden death. No player is permitted to play if they have already played for a different club in the cup.

Cup games are free to all clubs.

Friendly games will incur a charge of £3 per player.

Post Match

We have been working closely with the Bristol Panthers and a big shout out goes to Danny, Glenn and Phil for helping us to sort out venues, free entry and discount food for the weekend. Here is a basic plenary of the order of the day.

After the football we will be meeting at AllStars Sports Bar, 13-15 Queens Road, Clifton, Bristol, BS8 1QE. The Liverpool Chelsea game will be on at the bar. Given the issue with food last year, Danny will be providing us with a discount for food ordered at the sports bar.

Whilst in Allstars, the draw will be made for the semi finals.

There will be wrist bands given to all participants for entry into The Queen Shilling 9 Frogmore Street, Bristol, BS1 5NA. We will look to head over there between 9 and 10pm.

Entry into OMG bar on the same street as the Shilling will be £5 each, there is also BBB bear bar for those that wish to get a bit grizzly.

Have a fab weekend. Managers please contact me on the GFSN Whatsap group for any questions!
